A husband was sentenced to eight months in prison yesterday by the Xuhui
District People's Court for forcing his wife into prostitution.
Wang Yue and his wife, Yang Yang, came to Shanghai to look for jobs from
Heilong?¨´jiang Province in May. When they found no work and ran out of money,
Wang asked Yang to work as a prostitute. On May 25, Wang put a video of his wife
on the Internet so he could negotiate business online. The police received
reports and caught Yang later that afternoon.
