A regulation about hotel check-out times has been removed from the draft of a set of tourism rules, local tourism authorities said this week.

In the past, guests who hadn't checked out by midday had to pay an extra charge. However, more and more tourists refused to accept the rule, said the Shanghai Tourism Administrative Commission.
