A cyclist suffered a severe leg fracture when she was knocked down by a bus near the intersection of Siping Road and Tianshui Road about 3:30pm yesterday.

Bus No. 123 hit the 50-year-old woman surnamed Zhu, witnesses said. Zhu was rushed to Shanghai No. 1 People's Hospital. The lanes for motor vehicles and bikes are not marked by a divider or yellow line, which may have contributed to the accident, witnesses said.
