A Russian man was sentenced yesterday to four months in a Shanghai jail for injuring a police officer while trying to escape punishment for a traffic violation, Shanghai Daily reported.

The Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court ruled that Vladimir Yurkuns, 30, was guilty of obstructing an official in the performance of his duty.
