Baoshan District People's Court has sentenced Li Nian°?chun and Chen Cuirong to 11 years and 10 years in prison for trading counterfeit money.

The two women are illiterate, judges said. On June 2, Li arranged to buy 10,000 yuan (US$1,465) worth of fake money for 450 yuan from Chen. Chen's late husband had brought 500,000 yuan of counterfeit money from Guangdong Province. The pair were caught at Li's home while making the trade.
