At least 100 senior citizens from downtown Shanghai who invested 5 million yuan (US$732,987) in a troubled suburban peach farm have appealed to the government for help, Shanghai Daily reported.

The investors were last paid dividends on their investments in 2006 and now fear they stand to lose all their money.
