Local scientists say they are planning to develop heart attack prevention and treatment medicine from compounds extracted from garlic, Shanghai Daily reported.

The program received sponsorship yesterday from this year's Shanghai-Unilever Research and Development Fund, which was set up by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and Unilever to support promising scientific projects and top young scientists.
