Shanghai has opened a hotline for the city's nearly 100,000 taxi drivers so that their complaints and suggestions can be heard in a timely manner by top government transport officials.

The 24-hour phone line, 2311-5146, was launched on Monday and had received 25 calls by yesterday afternoon, a hotline operator told Shanghai Daily.
