The first financial court of its kind was set up under the Pudong New Area People's Court yesterday.

The new court will handle all finance-related cases accepted by the Pudong court. The special court will appoint judges with specialized knowledge of finance, while financial experts will be appointed as jurors. The tribunal will also provide legal services for financial institutions and make proposals to prevent financial risks.
