Planting begins

The first species were planted over the weekend at Chenshan Botanical Park,
which will be the city's largest botanical garden when it opens at the end of
next year. More than 25,000 species will be grown at the park, which
occupies a small hill in suburban Songjiang District. When complete, the park
will occupy 210 hectares. In this first phase of planting, 9,000 kinds of
plants, herbs and flowers will take root.
