Shanghai Red Cross officials have signed an agreement with Red Cross branches in Chengdu and Dujiangyan in Sichuan Province to help build hospitals and schools after the May 12 earthquake.

The projects include a mental health center, 15 community-based hospitals, five family planning service facilities, 11 schools and 11 temporary clinics. The total project cost is 740 million yuan (US$108.35 million).
