The transport administration said yesterday it would continue its crackdown against illegal taxis while looking for solutions to improve the salary and welfare packages of the transit bus crew, in response to wide complaints from bus and taxi drivers during a meeting with the city mayor on Tuesday.

Unlicensed cabs, stress and low wages are the biggest frustrations from work, bus drivers and cabbies told Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng at the symposium.
