A 22-month-old girl who was born with her heart ventricles and arteries reversed was successfully operated on at the Shanghai Children's Medical Center last Monday, the hospital announced yesterday.

In the nation's first such surgery, doctors repositioned the two ventricles and arteries during a five-hour long operation.
