Chen Dong, who has won Internet fame as "the most handsome traffic police officer in the city," is among the candidates in a nationwide vote for China's most popular police officers and firefighters.

The traffic police officer, together with a local detective and a firefighter, will join 57 others from across the nation in voting that will select the top 10 public safety officers, local authorities said yesterday.
