Five illegal immigrants from Africa were to be deported this morning, three days after they set a diversionary fire and made a mad dash past police in an attempt to enter China through Shanghai Port.

They were caught after officers at the Wusong frontier inspection station received a shipping company report on Monday that there were stowaways on a Korean freighter ready to moor at Shanghai's Zhanghuabang Dock on Tuesday.
