The city government is spending 3 million yuan (US$439,129) revamping facilities and improving information aids at the Shanghai South Railway Station with most of the work due to be completed before the coming Spring Festival.

The Shanghai South Railway Station is the city's second major passenger rail station and includes a long-distance bus station and several bus terminals.
