The local food and drug watchdog is warning locals to check business certificates when ordering take-away food at restaurants. It warned that only qualified restaurants are allowed to operate take-away food services.

The warning was issued in the wake of a food poisoning case in Jinshan District, blamed on a restaurant illegally operating a take-away service. In August, 13 people were sent to hospital in Jinshan after suffering chronic food poisoning.
