Two local intermediate courts announced the verdicts of 14 intellectual property lawsuits yesterday. Compensation in each case ranged from 8,000 yuan (US$1,172) to 1.85 million yuan, Shanghai Daily reported.

The 14 cases were related to copyright infringement, patent rights, trademark rights and Internet domain names. Nine cases involved overseas companies.
