A woman who was convinced to have a free facial treatment at a beauty parlor at Xujiahui on November 8 ended up with half her face bleached white - and had to pay 7,500 yuan (US$1,098) to make the other side match.

The woman, named Tu, was forced to pay to have the other half of her face treated to match after the beauty parlor refused to correct the damage, the Oriental Morning Post reported yesterday.
