A moblie phone maintenance worker who allegedly swindled more than 300,000 yuan (US$43,924) by stealing the number and contact lists of mobile phone users and using them to send messages to their friends asking for financial help, was arrested yesterday.

The Minhang District Prosecutors' Office charged Chen Fengle, 32, with fraud. Prosecutors allege Chen swindled more than 20 victims in three months.
