Two Shanghai Shenhua Football Club players were detained late last night for their involvement in a bloody restaurant brawl in the city, Shanghai Daily reported.

A local man was beaten and two women were hurt in the fight that involved Shenhua players Mao Jianqing and Liu Yintao and TV sports commentator Xu Yong.
