Tianshan Park in Changning District is to get a makeover, receiving many of the attractions that once stood in the Children's Traffic Park, a popular theme park built on Zunyi Road in the 1980s. The Traffic Park was demolished and turned into a public greenbelt in 2005.

Plans for the second-phase reconstruction of Tianshan Park have been approved, officials from the Shanghai Greenery Bureau and the Shanghai City Appearance and Environmental Sanitation Administration Bureau said.
