The Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court ruled a landlord should pay
more than 170,000 yuan (US$24,691) in compensation to the family of a tenant who
was poisoned to death by a gas leak.
The victim, Shi Ming, came to the
city early last year and leased an apartment from Gu Rongà‚°?hua. On the night of
March 4, Shi died after a gas leak. His daughter was also poisoned but she
survived.
