The Shanghai Red Cross will launch a charity drive on Saturday to help local needy families during the Spring Festival on January 26.

The city has held the charity drive for the past 10 years and 50 million yuan (US$7.26 million) worth of cash and goods has been distributed to more than 100,000 people.
