Jing'an District police are investigating a scam in which more than 20 seniors were cheated out of thousands of yuan by a dozen "doctors" who claimed to be from Huadong Hospital.

All the victims received phone calls and were told that Huadong Hospital was assembling famous medical experts from renowned local hospitals to provide free physical checkups to the elderly.
