A lottery winner was arrested yesterday for allegedly swindling his friends in order to buy more lottery tickets. Ma Junwen, a 38-year-old local, was charged with fraud by the Jinshan District Prosecutors' Office.

Ma won 5 million yuan (US$726,459) in 2003 playing the lottery but continued to play the lottery. After a few years' of high living, Ma had used up his entire jackpot prize and also sold his house.
