Police last night were investigating the deaths of a Shanghai couple and their son from gas poisoning, the second such case in two days, Shanghai Daily reported.

Firefighters broke into the family's apartment inside a residential complex on Lanxi Road in Putuo District about 8am yesterday after neighbors reported the strong smell of gas.
