Surgery hopes for boy with rare bone disorder

A 16-year-old boy with a rare genetic disorder that causes his bones to
fracture will undergo surgery tomorrow at Xinhua Hospital in Yangpu District.
The boy has suffered four leg fractures since the age of four and was
diagnosed as suffering from osteogenesis imperfecta, a disease found in only two
to four people in every 100,000.
