Changes to regulations protecting consumer rights have been placed on the
five-year legislation program (2008-12) of the Standing Committee of the
Shanghai People's Congress, which deals with the economy, social progress and
quality of life.
The program consists of 70 piece of legislation, 53 of
which will be officially proposed to the standing committee to examine and
deliberate, officials said at a meeting yesterday.
