Local travel agencies will offer tourists great deals on winter flights and tours today at a travel fair at Raffles City. The discounts are being offered to stimulate the market as it grapples with the global financial crisis.

Prices of hotels in Sanya, the southernmost city in Hainan Province, usually reach their peak during the winter. Tour packages using luxury hotels usually charge more than 10,000 yuan (US$1,459) for four days, but at the fair they will cost only about 4,600 yuan, tour agencies said.
