Scaffolding collapsed at the former Shanghai Fifth Dyeing Factory in Yangpu District yesterday morning and fell on to a passing car, injuring the driver.

The factory, near Hejian Road and Linqing Road, was being demolished. About 8:30am, a crossbeam collapsed, toppling scaffolding about 20 meters long and 8 meters high, according to witnesses.
