Sheshan's Yuehu Lake Park will be used by groups of amateur astronomers to watch next year's solar eclipse, officials from the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory said yesterday.

The site in the park will only be open to those who reserve a place through the observatory. The total solar eclipse will take place at 9:35am on July 22, and last about five minutes.
