Shanghai Center for Disease Control and Prevention has warned local residents to take precautions against infection of dengue fever while traveling in Southeast Asian countries during the upcoming New Year and Spring Festival holidays next month.

The center required people to visit hospital immediately if suffering fever after returning from such countries.
