Shops open late for New Year's

Department stores in downtown Jing'an District may stay open to welcome in
the New Year.
The Shanghai Jing'an Economic Committee recently issued a
notice to major shopping centers along Nanjing Road W. to encourage them to
extend their opening hours from 10pm to past midnight on December
31.
