About 200 tons of fruit will be imported to the city for the coming
Mid-Autumn Festival, Shanghai¡¯s largest Taiwanese fruit distributor announced
yesterday, Shanghai Daily reported.
Lin Chih-hung, general manager of Shanghai Good Commerce and Trading Co Ltd,
said about 100 tons of fruit are already on the way to Shanghai and should
arrive in the city this week.
The shipment includes 10 types of fruit, including pitaya, lemon and Hami
melon, which the central government approved imports of in April.
