The health check will cover vision, hearing, nutrition, limbs and fitness.
Special apparatus to test bone density and body fat composition will be adopted for the first time at the Special Olympic Games, the organizer said.
More than 200 doctors and volunteers from Shanghai's medical institutions will join to provide the medical service.
The 2006 Special Olympics Shanghai Invitational Games kicked off with an opening ceremony last night at the Shanghai Grand Stage.
