Jinshan District police said yesterday they shut down an underground liquid gas refilling station in a suburban farmer's house in Jinshan last Friday morning, seizing 23 tanks of liquid gas. The operators had managed to flee before police broke in. Police said most of the gas tanks had passed their safety period and the operation could have led to an explosion.
