Suspect Bombay ducks spark toxic alert in city's markets

Food safety officials are on high alert in the city's markets as Bombay ducks, or marine lizard fish, from some areas of China are suspected of containing a dangerous and banned preservative,Shanghai Daily reported.

Guangdong authorities recently found formaldehyde, the illegal preservative, in Bombay ducks being sold in markets in the southern China province.
