Shanghai Labor and Social Security Bureau, with its secondary departments, launched a month-long project today on assisting zero employment families (ZEF).

The project promises to ensure that at least one member of each ZEF, a family that are all currently unemployed, will get a job before this years Spring Festival.

From today, community helpers will be dispatched to visit each ZEF and investigate their detailed unemployment situation. A corresponding liability system and evaluation system will soon be built to aid the project. Anyone who was needs help will receive an individualized employment plan, as well as a chance for interviews in their relevant field.

According to the policies on employment promotions, those who are employed during the assisting period will be given some regulated subsidies, such as social security insurance and a post subsidy.
