Web worm still on the loose

The computer worm "Whboy," which broke out in the city on Monday, continued
to infect more personal computers after they visited infected Websites,
including some government Websites, the Shanghai Information Technology Service
Center said yesterday.
The worm would be widespread until next Monday,
the center said. Anti-virus firms said the infection peak would last until the
end of this month. Beijing Jiangmin Science Co, an Internet security firm,
called the worm a "virus king" and said some IT product purchase guide Websites
were infected. To protect against the worm, computer users should not open
unknown links.
