Etam and Snoopy began recalling their problematic clothes after some batches tested positive for aromatic amine, a carcinogenic dye, in recent quality tests.

Zhenxin Garments, the Shanghai-based producer of Snoopy, said it will refund customers for the problematic clothes, whose goods number is SP881F05. Customers can also dial 8621-5477-8003 or 8621-6406-5782 to contact the company.

Etam is also accepting returns for the problematic clothes, whose goods number is 6863286143840, said the company¡¯s after-service department.

Forty-six percent of the samples failed the quality tests, carried out by the Guangzhou Industrial and Commercial Administrative Bureau in Guangdong Province last week, including Snoopy, Vero Moda, Etam and FairWhale.

These brands have stopped selling problematic clothes in Shanghai.
