Taiwan cherry trees might be planted along many downtown streets over the next two to three years, the Shanghai Landscape Gardening Research Institute said yesterday, Shanghai Daily reported.

The trees were imported from Fujian Province last year and are now being planted in the institute's trial field as part of a test.
