Banks make pledge to cut waiting times for customers

Eight major banks have pledged to improve their services in Shanghai, including adding more staff and automatic tellers in their outlets, and cutting waiting lines, Shanghai Daily reported.

The improvements will start this week in city branches of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of China, China Everbright Bank, Bank of Communication, China Merchants Bank and China Minsheng Bank, the Oriental Morning Post reported yesterday.
