Several hundred potential volunteers sat an exam on Saturday to become delegation assistants for the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai this year, Shanghai Daily reported.

About 1,200 people are expected to sit the exam for English-speaking assistants this week, with the 200 chosen assistants to be announced next week, organizers said over the weekend.
