The city's annual science and technology festival will start this weekend, with this year's event boasting street performances by Scandinavian scientists, Shanghai Daily reported.

"The festival will let citizens experience popular science in different ways," Chen Xiaohua, an official with the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, said yesterday.
