Shanghai’s Vice Mayor Yang Xiong yesterday met with Fred Malek, founder and chairman Thayer Capital Partners for talks about Shanghai’s economic and social development.

Yang said city hoped that two parties could enhance their mutual cooperation in the preparations for World Expo 2010 Shanghai.

In another visit to the city yesterday, Vice Mayor Yang Dinghua met a delegation led by Yale University’s Vice President Bruce Donald Alexander.

More than one hundred students and teachers from Yale have visited Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai recently.
