Shanghai to tighten control of job agencies

ShanghaiĄ¯s five municipal departments jointly issued an announcement yesterday to tighten the management of job agencies.

The announcement said unapproved organizations and individuals canĄ¯t establish job agencies or take part in such activities.

Legal job agencies should show the public their business license, service permits, information on their agentsĄ¯certificates, fees, telephone numbers for complaints and employment messages.

Unqualified agencies will be investigated.

The Shanghai Labor and Security Bureau, Shanghai Personnel Bureau, Shanghai Municipal and Commercial Administration, Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau and Shanghai Municipal Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau released the announcement jointly with the approval of the municipal government.
