The Shanghai Optometric and Optical Association is helping to raise money for a pediatric eye center to prevent blindness in children in Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, Shanghai Daily reported.

More than 140 leading optical shops are participating in the six-month fundraising event by displaying donation boxes in their stores including Wuliangcai, Mao Chang, Red Star and America's Eyes.
