Special Olympics flame to light up Seoul today

The flame of Hope for the 2007 Special Olympic Games will travel through Seoul today after the torch was passed through Greece, Egypt, Britain and the United States.

Chinese Special Olympic athletes and police will start the relay at the memorial in front of Seoul Olympic Park and end at Jamsil Olympic Stadium, where the opening and closing ceremony of the 1988 Seoul Olympics were held.

The¡°Flying Dragon¡±torch will be passed to South Korean athletes and law enforcement officials at the Chinese Embassy to start a seven-kilometer run, ending at Seoul City Hall. More than 200 people are expected to participate in the event.

Chinese Special Olympic athletes Zhang Xinhui and Jin Yan had a trial run yesterday.
