Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts cooperates with 8 art academies

The Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts at Fudan University signed an agreement with eight well-known international art academies yesterday during an international conference on visual art education.

The eight academies include the University of the Arts London, Paris Art College, University of Art and Design Helsinki, and Victorian College of the Arts.

The presidents of the eight academies, international consultants and professors from the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts exchanged ideas about cooperation on education and research.

Gong Xueping, director of the standing committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, attended the signing ceremony and met delegates.

Founded in May 2005, the Shanghai Institute of Visual Art is located in Songjiang University Town in southwestern suburb of Shanghai. It is a cooperative project developed by Shanghai Media Group, Fudan University and several other businesses.
